One-minute-suspension of work on Thursday at 12 o'clock

Demonstration of solidarity with the victims of the tragedy in the USA

The outrageous and horrifying terrorist attacks suffered by the United States deeply shocked the working people and the business community in Europe.

Yesterday Mr Lauri Ihalainen, President of the Central Organisation of Finnish Trade Unions SAK, expressed his sympathy to the families of the victims and those who lost their lives in the rescue operations as well as to the entire American people.

The central employee and employer confederations in Finland recommended a symbolic one-minute-suspension of work on Thursday, 13th of September, at 12 o'clock in workplaces in Finland.
