Finnish trade unions make donations to the emergency aid following tsunami

The tsunami disaster in the Indian Ocean has shocked the whole world. The list of Finnish trade union organisations that contribute to emergency relief to the victims of the disaster is extending rapidly. The Central Organisation of Finnish Trade Unions SAK has donated 5,000 euros to the Finnish Red Cross. Donations have also been done by many SAK-affiliated trade unions, e.g. the Construction Trade Union, the Finnish Electrical Workers' Union, the Finnish National Union of State Employees and Special Services, the Finnish Prison Officers' Union, the Finnish Transport Workers' Union, the Metalworkers' Union, and the Trade Union of Municipal Sector.

Donations to the Finnish Red Cross can be made in Finland to the following bank accounts:
